Here at the Balmain Massage & Wellness Centre we're firm believers in the benefits of lymphatic drainage to expel toxins, and have combined this treatment with a body scrub to clean you up inside and outside.

Lymphatic drainage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph from the tissues. The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system: it's a network of "pipes" (lymphatic vessels) that carry a clear fluid called lymph - essentially recycled blood plasma - through the body. The lymphatic drainage cleans you inside - then the body scrub cleans your skin, ridding you of dead cells and toning it with essential oils. Read more about our scrub treatments here.

So much do we believe in detoxing the right way that we offer it also as a package... a 45 minute body scrub and a 45 minute lymphatic drainage (or a 45 minute aromatherapy session) for $130 - $35 off the normal price.

This package includes also a single dose of Epsom salts, which you may use in the comfort of your home to put the final touch to the detox process. These salts (their chemical name is magnesium sulphate or sulfate) take their name from a Surrey, UK town with a bitter saline spring nearby, and are used in a variety of applications, from fertiliser to dessicant and - in our case - as bath salts to help release toxins through the skin.

Please use the single dose supplied in a full bathtub, spending abour 45 minutes soaking up.
